I read many articles and then go with the common denominator pieces of info. And, hope for the best and then read some more.

Dr. Axes article covered all of this. I gathered he was trying ease our minds about using it medicinaly and educate on using it safely/properly.

I’d want to know that I was not not doing myself harm and at the same time ensuring effectiveness.

It is not illegal here in US. I bought seeds years ago for my garden (see note above).

I did this to deter “digging animals” from going into the garden. I now have a garden overrun with wormwood plants lol. I plan on harvesting them this year & storing them for future use.

You can buy it in California, Alpine Village in Torrance. They have like 3 different brands.

One thing I’d like to know is, You can ask 10 people about something and you’ll get 10 different answers…so how do you know which one to believe?

I’ve been taking and have heard excellent anti microbial benefits from Basil oil. Seems like this is not exact, but may be a safer alternative for some of us?

I wonder just who it was that proved “Absinthe has been proven to NOT be a hallucinogenic?? Many years ago I was in the US Air Force stationed in Greece where the licorice tasting OUZO is identical to absinthe. I and many other airmen can assure you that at a certain level of ingestion it is indeed hallucinogenic, not always pleasantly so.

Check Amazon for the capsules and oil. Read up on Absinthe in the US here: http://www.wormwoodsociety.org/

Then go down to your local liquor store as they may very well have Absinthe on the shelf. If it says Absinthe on the bottle, then it has to have wormwood in it. They call the anise flavored liqueur something else, but it is usually beside the Absinthe on the shelf. Absinthe has been proven to NOT be a hallucinogenic and is safe to drink and you can read up on the hysteria created back in the early 1900’s that survived up until 2007.

There are so many things wrong with this article I don’t know where to start, esp in regards to absinthe. As always, do your own research and don’t rely on someone else to spoon feed you information. Knowledge is power!
