In reply to Lola. I was diagnosed with scalp psoriasis about 4 months ago and I just turned 45 yrs old! Im wondering how to start treating it. Do you think I should start the GAPS diet or get on Borage oil or both? The only thing I am doing right now is applying Apple Cider Vinegar to my head to help with the itchiness. Thank you

I have had psoriasis for a long time and have tried all of the things you’ve mentioned. I was on the GAPS diet and primal diet. I have been able to keep it under control by being really strict with my diet and by supplementing with a lot of different things. Recently I started taking Borage oil after researching information about the D6D enzyme and what happens when it stops functioning. After two weeks on Borage I have zero psoriasis. No matter what I eat or don’t eat it’s gone. I was suspicious about all of the pyroluria hype but I’m starting to think it’s real and may have been triggered by my heavy antibiotic use in high school (like months of IV antibiotics). When I take Borage oil, zinc and B6 my psoriasis disappears. I’m hopeful that if I heal my gut I can switch off whatever gene was switched on that is causing my D6D pathway to malfunction. I’m not sure why I told you all of this other than to maybe help someone else.

My husband has plaque psoriasis. He is almost 90 % better now using Nubian Heritage brand African black soap. It soothed the skin and many of the patches have completely disappeared. None of the medication the Dermatologist gave him help at all. Check it out, and the soap only costs about four dollars a bar. I have told others about it and they are getting good results also.
