I suspected hormonal imbalance, so I googled it and sure enough i discovered that vertigo is a symptom of perimenopause. So I looked up essential oils that could help with vertigo and perimenopause. I started using Young Living’s Progessence, an oil blend that balances progesterone levels, and then used the oil blend “grounding”. Sure enough in a couple of days my vertigo was gone. I use Progessence every day and I haven’t had any vertigo since! So, I would add hormone imbalance to vertigo causes.

I have had battles with all that was mentioned in this article for many, many years. I have tried the meds., I did the therapy. I thought it was a lost cause and thought I was to live a life of constant dizziness. UNTIL…….I started doing jumping jacks. That’s right jumping jacks. One night I was joking around with my family and my husband challenged me to do some jumping jacks. We never laughed so hard. It helped me sleep good that night so I did them again not realizing it would eventually start helping my dizziness but at this point to get better sleep. I started with just 25 jumping jacks a night. As I continued to do this and to increase the number of jumping jack each night I found they got easier and easier to do and I noticed a significant improvement with my dizziness and balance. I can do up to 200 jumping jack a night now and my balance is excellent and I no longer experience any dizziness. Please try do some jumping jacks, even if you need to use a chair to help balance you or do them in a doorway, just try it for a month, you will be as amazed as I was. Good luck.

I followed a low tyramine diet for a year that was somewhat helpful. I have recently noticed a connection between eating high histamine or histamine releasing foods and high oxalate foods and the vertigo spells. For the past month I have been on a low histamine/low oxalate diet and no spells so far. Just wanted to share in case this can be helpful to someone else.

Finally, a kinesiologist told me that my ileocecal valve was faulty. Now, all I have to do is get adjusted by her every 3 months, and my vertigo goes away! Most doctors don’t understand the role that the ileocecal valve has on one’s health.

This is a great article and since I recently started to suffer from vertigo migraines because of my neck and shoulder injury, and knee, with pinched nerves, all cause by a car accident 12 months ago, I was glad to see this information. Physical Therapy and then chiropractic moves, set my body into massive migraines. I know that means my body is reacting to the therapy and trying to heal, but I cant do the migraines. I have been using an epi-genetic nutritional supplement that has helped my body to heal tremendously, on all fronts. Ive been told that it could take a few years to feel whole again, so in the meantime, im feeding my body with optimal nutrition and healing along the way.

The vertigo does try to come back, but I know I need more time..

Everyone, take care and To Your Health! Sharon

He called it vertigo and prescribed meds to help with the dizziness and said it was probably caused by a virus and would just take time to pass. Say no more! I raced home and started an aggressive herbal regimen of antivirals. Guess what? The symptoms were gone in about 12 days. I never used the pharma prescription. Several years later, the same symptoms started happening again (both times were after a period of travel). Antiviral herbs again helped out.

The book Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox is an outstanding book on the topic of sequestration of calcium in the bones.

I went to the doctor after a period of vertigo issues and my doctor prescribed medicine. Since I could not find the medicine nor could the pharmacist, I decided to Google vertigo problems and I found information regarding BPPV and the head maneuver. I performed that head maneuver and I cured my vertigo issue within ten minutes (it took a couple of tries to get the process right). Dr. Axe, you are a life savior. I appreciate your helpful information. It’s making a huge difference in my life.

I had severe vertigo for several years which limited my activities. Using the dizzy fix whenever I feel dizzy removes the symptoms. It simulates CRP perfectly in your own home.

I visit a chiropracter regularly (at least once a week) but it still come back, thankfully only for 2/3 days at a time.
If I could have my cervical sorted I would be so grateful.
I do not take any meds but for this I take Serc.

I hope to use the suggestions to help control it. I have had meniers also but it is in remission at present. I have had bouts of tinnitus and some vertigo off and on through the latter years but now l have had constant hissing in my ears for sometime now. I cope rather well, but lost my hearing aids and guess l need new ones as they seemed to help. I guess l will keep working on saving up for a new set. Thanks again.

I have had BPPV and meniers for years, it’s the worst nightmare to suffer from. By having physio therapy and reducing stress, I have not had a reoccurrence in 2 years. Thank you for putting out this article. People need to understand how to fix the problem. And spouses need to understand how serious this problem is. Proper head maneuver is the key.
