I have not tried it. The coconut milk in a can is only coconut milk while the one in the container has other ingredients added so the effect won’t be as good.

You can split the amount equally or if you like the smell of one better or want certain health benefits, do a little more of that one.

How much Rosemary oil do you suggest using with the soap, and lavender oil? Would you split the amount of drops between the two oils? Thanks in advance!

I think this could be a great option! I’d try it and see how your hair feels after. Try the homemade conditioner with it as well

Remove the Dr. Bronner’s soap, it’s unnecessary.

BUT…I’ve got a question. We used Dr. Bronner’s Baby Mild Unscented Liquid Castile Soap and a can of GOYA Coconut Milk purchased at a local health food store. When these two were combined there was a HORRIBLE FISHY smell. My friend and I were sharing this recipe. In my HALF, I ended up adding 30 drops of a Purification Blend, 20 drops of Lavender, 10 drops of Grapefruit, and 5 drops of Cedarwood (high-quality expensive oils, btw) and it STILL has a fishy undertone. I’m not sure that I will be able to even use it. Neither the liquid soap or the coconut milk smelled like this until they were combined. QUESTION: Any idea what happened? Is this normal? I watched a YouTube video of someone making a similar recipe and their “coconut milk” (different brand) was VERY think and had to be removed from the can with a spatula whereas ours was a pretty thin liquid that poured out of the can. Any ideas?

Yes, you can use the exact same recipe minus the Castille soap.

No. This does not need refrigeration if used within 30 days.

Affirmation that I’m doing something right. :) Well, this is -almost- the same… I use the lavender castille soap, and add rosemary essential oil for super scalp and hair health. As a bonus, I find that the combination of lavender and rosemary smells heavenly!
